TimelineLogger is privacy-first: your location timeline remains on your phone. This policy explains what data is processed and how it is handled.

1. Data We Collect

Depending on enabled features and permissions, TimelineLogger may process:

Location Data: precise location in foreground/background to build route timelines on-device.
Motion Data: motion activity states to improve trip/stop classification.
App Data: route entries, timestamps, speeds, and app preferences.
Support Data: information you send when contacting support.

2. How We Use Data

To record, visualize, and export travel timelines.
To improve stop/travel detection accuracy.
To provide in-app features such as optional address lookup.
To respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with third-party advertisers. If address lookup is enabled, coordinate lookups are performed via Apple geocoding services.

4. Data Storage and Retention

All location history remains on your iPhone. TimelineLogger stores location and timeline data only on your device. TimelineLogger does not upload or sync your location history to external servers. Data remains stored until you delete it or remove the app.

You can delete all TimelineLogger data directly in the app settings ("Delete all data").

5. Legal Basis and User Rights

Processing is based on user consent (permissions) and legitimate product functionality. You can withdraw permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Contact us to request assistance.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

7. Children

TimelineLogger is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will review deletion options.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when product features or legal requirements change. The latest version is always available at this URL.
